CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound extracted from the cannabis plant. There two major compounds found in the cannabis plant – CBD and THC. Unlike its counterpart compound THC, CBD is not psychoactive and presents many health benefits to users. CBD products allow you to experience the benefits of the other cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant without experiencing any psychoactive effects.
Our CBD oils, tincture, isolate and other products infused with CBD offers you a healthy alternative to synthetic supplements. Refer to our online store for available products on sale.
CBD Oil is CBD formulated to liquid form. This product is achieved by mixed CBD extracts with carrier oils such as medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil. Some examples of MCT oil include coconut oil, olive oil etc.
CBD oil can be advertised and sold as tinctures, oil drops or plain oils. While all of these might seem the same, the method of application and sometimes the nature of the mix is what makes them different. Our CBD Oil formulation is made using fractionated coconut oil.
CBD tincture is just another name for CBD oils. However, tinctures can be sold as oral drops to be applied sublingually (under the tongue) or as sprays when CBD extract is mixed with ethanol instead of carrier oil.
This is often the most common method of taking CBD oils. It can sometimes be infused with flavours to create an enjoyable experience as CBD oils alone don’t taste that great. CBD tincture affords you an easy and discreet way to get your daily dose of CBD.
When comparing hemp oil vs. CBD oil, the key difference is that the two products come from different parts of the hemp plant. Hemp oil comes from the seeds, and CBD oil can be extracted from the stems and leaves. Hemp oil is unrefined whereas cannabidiol oil is usually highly refined to isolate the most beneficial compounds of the plant.
CBD isolate is pure CBD extracts from the cannabis plant. This substance contains only CBD as all other compounds have been removed leaving an almost perfect pure CBD compound.
CBD full-spectrum contains other derivatives of the cannabis plant with THC down to the allowable limit. Some of the other derivatives of the cannabis plant include CBD, CBG, CBN, Terpenes, THC etc.
These together give what is called “the entourage effect”
CBD isolate on the other hand is pure CBD extract devoid of these other constituents. CBD isolate is great for users who want the benefit of CBD without the intrusion of the other elements or those new to CBD, taking it slow until their body system gets a hang of the supplement.

Sub Lingually
To take OK CBD Oil drops sublingually (under the tongue):
- Shake bottle well
- Apply 1 to 2 drops underneath the tongue
- Hold the oil there for around 60 seconds before swallowing
In Food & Drink
You can also take CBD by adding a few drops to your food or drink.
Please bear in mind that if you use CBD oil as cooking oil, many of the active compounds will disappear into the air. Therefore, it is best to keep the oil at room temperature, cook it at a low temperature or add it to food that’s already cooked.
The amount of CBD you should take is subjective as it depends on your physiology and the reasons for which you are taking the oil. However, please see our guidance below:
CBD Oil Drops Starting with a low dose will allow you to increase or decrease the dosage depending on your experiences. The standard recommended dose for CBD oil is 1 to 2 drops twice a day. You can then increase this if required, up to a recommended maximum of 15 drops per day.
Although we don’t recommend consuming more than 15 CBD oil drops per day, there have been no reported incidences, injury or illness caused by taking too much CBD oil. There is some further information available about the safety of doses on the WebMD website.
Sadly, CBD doesn’t work for everybody. However, there are some things you can try if you are not experiencing the desired results.
It’s important to ensure that you are buying legitimate cannabidiol products. Ensure that the company you are buying from can provide lab test results for their products to certify that they contain the stated amount of CBD.
Increase the number of drops you are taking
Choose a product with a higher concentration of CBD
Don’t give up if you have only tried 50mg or 200mg strength CBD oil, for example, It may be that a 500mg or even 1000mg strength will be more suitable for you.
CBD does not have any psychoactive effects; however, you may find that CBD oil makes you feel a little tired or sleepy. If you’re trying CBD oil for the first time, we recommend that you take your first dose when you won’t need to drive or operate machinery for a few hours.
Different drugs tests may look for different substances, however, CBD wouldn’t normally be tested for in a drugs test as it is legal and doesn’t have any psychoactive effects.
Most tests look for THC which is only present in very trace amounts in CBD products (less than 0.2%) so, unless you’re taking a high quantity of CBD at very high concentration and the tests are looking for THC in the blood, it wouldn’t trigger a positive result. We would recommend that if you are subject to mandatory drugs tests through your employment, for example, you check to see which specific substances are tested for.
